In this position, the Chief will serve as a subject matter expert and Agency point of contact responsible for establishing and maintaining effective partnerships and serve as a liaison to the local jurisdictions and to regional, state, federal, and non-government organizations within the state and providing direct access to the full array of services and assistance offered by VDFP.

Serves as the first-level of response during an incident within the EOC and support recovery operations. Ability to serve as an Agency technical spokesperson if needed. Serve as agency Duty Chief as scheduled.

Special Requirements: State Requirements for Vaccination Status Disclosure, Testing, and Masks The Commonwealth of Virginia requires all Executive Branch employees, including new hires, rehires or transfers to disclose their vaccination status upon hire. Disclosure of vaccination status and for those fully vaccinated, proof of vaccination will be required on your first day of work.

If you are not vaccinated for any reason, you will be required to be tested for COVID once per week on an indefinite basis. The Virginia Fire Marshal Academy VFMA Adjunct Instructor will assist with the implementation of course curriculum and lesson plans; providing course registration and administration; assisting with and providing computer-aid, instruction, and testing. Setting up classrooms, field, and practical skills training.

Assisting with the reproduction and distribution of course materials; supervision of the daily operations of a large training program and practical skills training that support student learning. This work should be developed in a broad range programmatic manner to meet the needs of a diverse population. Positions are assigned based upon qualification and needs of the agency and branch.
